FEDERATION OF AUSTRALIA 1901 – THE INDIAN CONTINGENT – SKETCHES

Sketches of soldiers from 100 of the Indian Contingent that were at the Commonwealth of Australia Inaugural Celebrations.  The contingent left Bombay, India for Sydney, Australia on the 23 November 1900 and returned to India to 4 April 1901from Sydney.  The Indian Contingent visited all capital cities excepting Adelaide.  They also visited New Zealand during February and March before going to Hobart, Tasmania.
