Ali Bux Khan was born ca.1861 in India. He and his wife, Boor Bebe had two children, Mahomet Fazal Khan and Reicham Bebe and lived in the village of Pahund Giran, Gujrat, Punjab, India. Ali arrived in Australia ca.1891 and worked as a Hawker in the Grampians district of Victoria where he was well known and lived at Dunkeld. In 1927 he died of Cardiac Failure aged 61 and was buried on the 7 December, according to the rites of the Muslim Religion. The ceremony was conducted by Khuda Bux a Muslim Priest.
